DAVID LEVY/YULEE (1810-1886). Yulee was a Jewish-American politician and Confederate from Florida. He was the first Jewish person to serve in the United States Senate.

An autograph letter signed “D Levy”. “If a packet arrives for me from Tallahassee directed in a manner recognized by…as the handwriting of his partner…the Port master at Washington will please allow him to take it. Respy D Levy”. It is in very good condition with some discoloration and mounting remnants on the verso and smudging of the signature. |
